The Assessment Panel Pays Visit to the Sports Academy for Evaluation on Effective Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP)

 

 

The Sports Academy has received the visit of the assessment panel to evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge transfer program (Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP)) which has been carried out by the Sports Academy since 2013. The project, entitled Performance Enhancement and Sustainability Program for Paralympic Athletes and Team Management, headed by Prof. Prof. Dr. Tajularipin Sulaiman, with team members consisting of Prof. Dr. Shamala K. Subramaniam, Prof. Prof. Dr. Hazizi Abu Saad, Dato 'Dr. Roselan Balance, Prof. Dr. Mohd Nazrul Hakim Abdullah and Dr. Borhannudin Abdullah.

The evaluation panel comprises of Prof. Dr. Amir Akramin Shafie (IIUM) and Prof. Prof. Dr. Akmar Mohd Nizam Haji Mohamad Isa (Universiti Malaysia Terengganu). Among the aspects evaluated in this program is how effective the program has been carried out in impacting the Academias, Graduate Interns and also the community involved including Paralympic athletes and their management team in making sure that this project is a success.

The program is funded by a grant from the Ministry of Higher Education. It is one of the ministry's efforts under the 10th Malaysia Plan (RMK-10) to shift the knowledge learnt in the Institute of Learning (IPTA) into the industry and the community, in hopes to help the development of the sports industry and eventually,  improving the community’s quality of life.
